How to Refresh Your UAT to Reflect Live

This document aims to explain the process for refreshing your UAT so that it is up to date with your Live environment. There are a number of reasons as to why you may want to do this, such as testing new features or technical integration in a safe area rather than on 'live' itself.

Overview of The Process

1. Main institution contact gets in contact with their Key Account Manager or Technical Integrations requesting an UAT refresh, your request should include:
  1. Any timescales you would like to adhere to
  2. Your Key Account Manager will then raise a Technical Integration Helpdesk request, including you and your technical contact in the communication.
2. The technical integrations team will schedule the refresh, communicate the date, and communicate when complete.
Idea
After the live data has been imported into your UAT environment, we run a script which removes all personal information.

It can take up to a day after we communicate completion for your UAT platform to behave exactly as expected, especially in regards to search features.
